Oh YEAH!!!

Awsome drone-tones on the guitar and perfection witht the lilting vocal and harmonies.

Gonna listen to this twice...

(No, that's a lie,
...gonna listen thrice!)

A description of this song is the same as what the snail said on the turtle's back:

"wheeeeeeeeee!"

I just love the way you play (lett. en fig. ;) (Wink) ) with the minor and major chords Cloud 9 Very nice balance and combination. I'm muchly liking the rhythm, especially because of that specific emphasis I capt in the bassline.
The vocals are delightful as usual, great harmonies, lots of emotion. I have to say that for a "darker song" the vocals add quite a bit to the more "brighter" side, which is wonderfully created throughout the harmonies.
But what I mostly appreciate 'bout his song is, that (as most of your creation) it has nothing similar to other (commercial) tunes. You manage to keep your unique sound without trying to get some "popular" elements in it Nodding Great job Elly Thumbs Up Face's Blue Star

Excellent rhythmic movements and psychedelic chord sequence. The singing couldn't be better - supremely expressive, interesting and uncannily accurate. Thanks for sharing this.

I love that melody. The lyrics are easy to understand and the "backing" vocals are really effective. The guitar line which propels this is so enjoyable.

This is a very good song.

You always get such a rich full sound from your acoustic guitarNoddingIs it a big body acoustic??or is it just the way you mix it??Maybe its an ancient Chinese secretLaughing My Arse OffElly I am almost always left speachless by your music,Its just that goodHugYou must know by now that I'm a huge fan of yoursNoddingthank you so much for telling me about this, would have come to listen sooner but I share the computer with 2 othersNoddingMust wait for my turn..anyway I'm enjoying everything about"Tell You"I'm never let down when I come to this artist page...once again excellent workThumbs UpClappingClappingFace's Blue Star

I think Elly just knows how to play her guitar and knows how to record it clean, plain, and direct with good signal levels.

There obviously is a genious "less-is-more" type engineer sitting behind the mixing board. Probably Elly herself,

(...or maybe George Martin?)

Yes, it's THAT GOOD!

Great guitar work, I love the progression and there's a great sound coming out of it. Great vocals, I especially love the backing vocals, gives it a really cool feel, kind of like swimming through the music. Very nicely produced too Nodding Thumbs Up

On my 15th listening of this song tonight I must give a nod/contrast & compare some of the harmony parts on this to Crosby Stills & Nash...

Those beautiful chords on the guitar and your adventuresome vocals really make this a wonderful listen. I love all the unexpected changes and variety that this tune has to offer. There is a Celtic or Gaelic feeling to this that gives the impression of walking through the Highlands. As always, a really really excellent performance.

mmm! A complicated little thing aren't you? :) (Smile) I can definately appreciate the intricate nature to this song. I like the flat tone...as it gives character. nice! It's always fun to listen to fellow artist and note the signature/thumbprint that makes each songwriter individual.

Holy Crap Elly this is wicked. Dark times ask for darker tunes. I love it. Its very cool experimentalish. Very awesome guitar, and accompanied by some wicked fx. Excellent song madam! Definitely cool to listen to.

I like the way you're really taking your time here. There's nice slow, rolling gait to this track, and a general laidbackness that contrasts nicely with the tension in the harmonies and that stiff chord delivery in the guitar. Yeah, I'm with Van on the backing vox Nodding Very well planned...all the panning and layering really gives this entire piece a sense of space and movement and changing shape (albeit slow and stalking, as mentioned above). I'd give a lot to see the performance Cloud 9

Oops, I meant that last post for Gastroenteritis!!! But this song is ALSO very very awesome. Beautiful vocals and lyrics, with that constantly clear and beautiful guitar going. I love the drone that stays throughout. Makes the chords sound even richer.
